Amanita is a nine-piece band from Toronto, bringing together experienced musicians with backgrounds in a wide range of genres and styles. Led by Sam Heineman, the band delivers an energetic mix of classic R&B, Afrobeats, and funk covers that keeps audiences dancing.
For bandleader Sam Heineman, this performance is especially meaningful. Sam spent his early years growing up in Killaloe and attended the very first fair in 1976. His parents, Jim and Erin, were members of the Killaloe Mountain Band, one of the first groups to perform at the fair. Their involvement began a long family tradition of bringing musicians to the area to perform and experience the beauty and community spirit of Killaloe.
Since 1984, Sam has performed at many fairs with family and friends and is excited to return as part of the fair’s 50th anniversary celebration.
